Really must investigate Frustration more, I only really know the song "It's Gonna Be The Same" which is an amazing tune. Far better than their Irish name sakes.

Last album that that tune is from is my pick from the stuff I know. Was obsessed with it for months.

Dunno if it was here that we were on about Lankum and Irish folk but the new The Mary Wallopers album is a beaut.

This is an absolute banger. Video is class too.

Giving yourself kudos for your own post, that's quality :)

That's a good choon, last 1/3 got me going. He's a bit of a 21st century Penny Rimbaud that lad, albeit a touch less philosophical.

Haha, yeah, that was after listening to it on loop for about half an hour, had to come back and update my praise

The new Arctic Monkeys record - "The Car" - is very, very good.

Shades of Scott Walker, late-period John Lennon, 70's Paul McCartney and John Barry.

Probably posted before, but here's a real piece of work. A sad loss with Mimi's death yesterday.

Savage album, had never listened to Low before this but I love it after getting into it last year.

I'm not searching through 44 pages to see if/where they're mentioned, but a friend recommended Girls Against Boys to me at the weekend. I'd always thought they were a shite pop punk band but it turns out I was way off. Really enjoying Venus Luxore No.1 Baby at the moment, and the Fugazi connection makes sense (though Canty was long gone before this, apparently).

Demon Fuzz - Afreaka!

New to me! Absolutely brilliant mix of jazz, funk, prog and soul!

Listening to the last clipping. album along with the rest of their stuff. Been a fan for years and they're in Cork tomorrow night. Brilliant group with high standards for their genre.

'Almanach' by Malicorne. Really cool 70's French folk album. Everything from baritone vocals to BAM BAM BAM steeleye span type bass lines and nods to Stivell and the Breton boys too. Really enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing gig, blown away to be honest.
