Speaking of Sams with unbelievable voices, Sam Lee is unreal (hi).

Daniel Romano'S Outfit (or is it Daniel Romano & The Outfit?) - this lad has the spirit of Tom Petty in him.

He has his own solo records (alt-country) - he seems to make a ton of albums (like Ty Segal in that respect) - 10 albums in 2020 alone between solo and band projects.

I have only listened to the 2 live records.

New Lankum album out on Friday should be quality based on what they've teased so far.

3 very different and equally amazing tracks so far.

Got my 'pre-order has shipped' email a couple of days ago, though there may be a delay in arrival to me due to strikes here. Either way, really looking forward to a first full listen.

I saw a festival line up the other day that had them alongside Godflesh. As odd a side by side as the Napalm Death/T'Pau one I saw yesterday.

Amazing  :abbath:

Lankum album is incredible. Beautifully varied, while remaining dark and trippy, and not losing sight of itself. Seems like a slightly more lofi feel to it at times which adds to the overall experience.

Really enjoying the new Depeche Mode album. They've given the whole delta blues with eurorack synths thing a rest for a bit so it's a lot more electronic than the last one or two albums. Has a sort of 70s spacey soul vibe going on. 2-3 duds that don't stand out and the rest of it's hilariously overblown pomp (which is both perfectly fine and a compliment for a band like Depeche).

Going to get on this today. Thought the last few were absolutely terrible but I still haven't given up on them.

Aye, I'm a big fan, but it wouldn't have killed them to get some proper kick drums and melodies on the last few.

This isn't a million miles away, to be honest, but definitely more atmospheric to my ears.

The single was proper so it was. Haven't got to the rest of it yet because Saturday involves only pockets of time between all the things I have to drive the kids to but definitely going at it with a few cans this evening
