In work this morning there was a number of people on about sourcing tickets, people who I didn't even know had any interest in heavy music.
I've always said it, we are a nation of events junkies, duped by marketing!.

It will be good craic, and an good show no doubt. I just don't have the desire or disposable income to fire at something my heart isn't in anymore!

In after 2 mins and the only standing tickets available are €449 each.

I reckon keep refreshing is the trick I've a friend who was in the fifth member presale and was getting nothing until eventually it allowed him to buy 4 yesterday morning.

I tired that on and off on Tuesday but didn't have any luck and now the standing section is completely greyed out.

I think the rise in popularity of the Wolfe tones with "young people" highlighted this.i know people who bought tickets to see them in thomond park in the summer based on seeing a few videos of them playing to a packed out tent at electric picnic.

The only reason I'd have half considered it this time would have been to bring the kids but when you're looking at roughly 50 euros PER SONG per person it's just madness

A lot of what's left now seem to be restricted view and the cheap tickets are miles away..
I wish they had just done one day.

I remember doing final year project work in college. We had a wee ghettoblaster in the lab.  One of the boys took the morning off to head into town to buy two tickets for Metallica. He lands in a bit later, delighted with himself that he got his tickets. Asks me (as I'm the main music dork in the class) if I had any music on me. I had a bunch of CDs I just got back from someone. Cool, sure I'll throw on Master of Puppets, he'll love it.

About a minute into Battery, he asks me what this shite is. Eh...

I should have paid more attention and noticed that it was only 2 day tix.
Still though!
Might see how I go when the single tickets are on sale.

I wonder if all the band wagon jumpers even realise they're paying for 2 days.
Some craic if they just spent all that and only showed up to the Friday.
