Ended up buying a snake pit ticket for Cardiff for a cool £650 (one night only for that city).

I'd rather have had the two nights in Dublin for £1050, but I guess I'm lucky to get one at all.

Dubbed audio, surely? The guitars are panned hard left and right, not sure any phone can do that on a mix coming through a PA.

Unfortunately not

They do have their own mini PAs directed back into the snake pit, which may mean the sound is better, but idk. For a few songs, Lars' snare would fucking bounce back off the stadium steps or something, causing an annoying half a second echo.

Nice view alright, when you're in front of the band. The people on the other side of the stage look far less enthusiastic. Pity about all the phones too, that would wreck my head.

Look man, I'm not judging you for how you want to spend your money. I am just genuinely shocked that somebody would pay €775 on a single ticket to see Metallica, and play it off like it's not a big amount of money for what you're getting. Being charged €775 for one ticket is not cool.
