Costs etc. aside, it's insane to me that Metallica tickets are gonna be hard to come by a year before the show. You could have picked one up outside Slane for fifty quid in 2019. Events post-covid make no sense.

Think there's always a rush on tickets when a big event is announced, but in the weeks beforehand it's usually pretty easy enough to pick up a ticket on the cheap. That's what I'm hoping for anyway!

It seems the more they charge the more excited everyone gets and the quicker the tickets go. Baffling.

It is baffling. Are people worried that this is going to sell out tomorrow?

I was in a couple of different shops yesterday and had a Metallica t-shirt on. People at the tills were asking me if I've gotten my ticket yet. One lad told me that his friend sourced tickets for him and his mates, but he couldn't buy just one, there was only the option to buy two, so they're each paying the price for two tickets even though they can only go for the one night. Panic buying essentially.

So they must not have realised that if they wait till the 25th of July  they could buy single tickets or maybe they know and don't want to risk waiting in case they miss out.

Metallica tickets are the new bog roll.

these are just the two day tickets. The single nights are going on sale in July. This is brilliant marketing if it makes people buy tickets for 2 shows when they only want to go to one. It will be very easy to buy tickets in the July sale. If I don't get a 2 day ticket today or tomorrow I'm going to buy Friday tickets in July and my mate is going to buy Sunday, will cost more but we will have them. I'm holding out for standing tickets as I don't want to be sitting in the same seats both nights especially if I'm beside some gowl

In after 2 mins and the only standing tickets available are €449 each.

I think so too, that's why I'm baffled at people scrambling for pre-sales and paying for tickets they don't need. That's marketing for you I guess.

I was in for seated tickets but not at 1277 Euros. I am going to wait for the single tickets in July. My liver isn't able for three days of drinking these days anymore either. :-[
