Zakk Wylde seems to get a bit of stick from people. Not sure why (even though I'm not a fan). Noticed it again on the Pantera live thread. Is it just his playing with Pantera, or did he do something to piss people off?

I went to see Zakk Sabbath play in Birmingham on the 50th anniversary of the first Sabbath album. "What could go wrong?" I thought.

BLS for whatever reason have always been hated here and on the old forum. No idea about it myself as I don't know anything about them and I couldn't even name a single song. The only interaction I have ever had with them was buying a ticket to a show they headlined as EHG were supporting. I left that show after EHG played so never saw BLS or COC who also played.

One thing I will say is that for as long as I can remember Zakk Wylde has always been down as the name to fill in for Dime if a Pantera reunion ever took place. A Pantera tour reunion group is on facebook in which plenty of people are posting pictures with Zakk having bumped into him wandering around their city the day Pantera is playing. All seem to say he is a gent and more than willing to spend time chatting to anyone that approaches him.

He's a talented guy (love his early Ozzy stuff), but fucking hell BLS are  cringe.

One of the lads was at Hellfest years ago and had to wait out their set for who was on next and was surrounded by hoards of the gobshites. Made his hangover even worse.

It's pretty hilarious that BLS previously had to warn their fans about wearing their fake biker merch to shows in case they get beat up by the actual bikers in town

Nah man, their leather jackets are made from black bin liners. Rumour has it their bikes are speed restricted, but you didn't hear it from me.

I also have it on good authority that Zakk Wild's pinch harmonics are gluton free. Make of that what you will.

I can see the reasons for the Zakk Wylde dislike now. Always assumed that BLS were actually bikers (strange that they would pretend to be something there not). Interesting...

The biker gang thing is total cringe. There was some bullshit on MtV years ago where young spas got to spend time with their heroes. I recall one where a BLS fanboy got to be a roadie for them or something like that. He sneakily tried on someone's BLS "vest"/biker jacket and they bollocked him out of it when they found out because he hadn't "earned" his own one and "you don't wear another man's vest", that kind of shite. I'm cringing horrifically, even now, all these years later, recalling it, the most spasticated thing I have ever seen. Fucking morto for them still

I've seen interviews with Wylde though when he comes across as a decent lad, and others when he just seems like an eejit. It's nearly like a character he turns on and off depending on what he's promoting

Didn't poor Zakk get threatened by the Hells Angels because their logo was too similar or something. Mongos threatening Mongos.

Another annoyance with Zakk is his persona of being from the southern States when he's a born and bred New Yorker. Granted he's not the first rocker to lie about their background. Didn't Ian Astbury try and play the red Indian card for a while because he had long black hair. Cunt is from Cheshire!
