Never cared much for the Dianno albums, my top 5 would be DOD and the four 80s Bruce albums

I'll leave the hall now :abbath:

Madness! DOD isn't even the best from the Post Reunion albums!!!  ???

I haven't listened to Senjutsu (I just can't bring myself to do it) but DoD is probably their their worst record. And that's from someone who thinks the DiAnno albums sound like they were made by a pub band...

... guess I'll have Trev for company outside the hall

Those Di'anno albums sound like that because, at that point,  they WERE a band playing  pubs, discos or likewise. Still prefer any of that over Sejustsu or DoD. 'Book of Souls' was the last one I liked despite the proggy tendencies.

The debut is so good. I think D'Ianno's vocals are perfect on it. They are mmore street level and tough than Bruce, but the music was raw too sob they fit perfectly. Badmotherfukkinass.

For me it's:

1. Piece of Mind
2. Powerslave
3. NOTB
4. SSOASS
5. DOD

And I'd put Brave New World at 6th. Probably is a sign of my age and when I got into metal (2001). You gotta live your truth, maaaaan.

Gonna throw on DOD now and dance and/or prance around the gym 🏋 🕺

Mine would be:

1. The Number Of The Beast
2. Powerslave
3. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
4. Iron Maiden
5. Brave New World

That's this week, I'd probably have a completely different top 5 next week. Or in 5 mins.

If we're counting live albums then obviously Live After Death goes straight to no. 1.

1) Live after Death
2) Powerslave
3) Somewhere in Time
4) Killers
5) Seventh Son

1. Somewhere In Time
2. The Number Of The Beast
3. Powerslave
4. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
5. Iron Maiden

Dear Father, it has been 6 months since my last confession. I prefer Maiden England to Live After Death

For me it would be

1 Somewhere In Time
2 Seventh Son
3 Iron Maiden
4 Brave New World
5 Killers

Would Somewhere In Time be considered their most aggressive?

My top 5 would be:

1. Piece of Mind
2. Beast
3. Powerslave
4. Iron Maiden
5. Seventh Son

But that can change depending on which of them I'm listening to at the time. I'm also a big fan of Somewhere Back in Time and always had a soft spot for No Prayer. For some reason I've never really clicked with Killers. Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death are very good but way too long of course.

Throw me in with the loving DOD crowd. First Maiden album i bought at the time it came out, so i have a soft spot for it.

Rainmaker, Paschendale, DOD,Montségur, Journeyman are all bangers. Its the last Maiden album I think that in anyway justifies its run time.

I'm a big DOD man too, similar vintage to Pat - I bought it when it came out, saw them in The Point that year, was a big deal to me. I think it holds up, though it isn't as good as I thought it was then. I'll always love it.
