The Almighty are good. Will die on that hill.

I saw them in '91, supporting Megadeth. They were alright on the night so I bought an album shortly after (can't remember what one), it was shite. Haven't bothered with them since, maybe they improved.

I had the Soul Destruction LP, unfussy, the equivalent of a nice cheap brand of lager, does the job. I don't mind it, to each his own.

I think it was their early live album I had, now that I think of it. Just didn't hit the spot at the time, but then I had my thrash/DM blinkers on then and had little time for anything else.

Soul Destruction is meat and potatoes rock, superb stuff!!

Blaze Bayley added on now to the Knenbworth show doing a set from his stint with the band, nice gesture from them

It is, those songs deserve to be heard. His show in whelans was awesome has to be said. Delighted for him.

Yeah there's a lot of really good stuff, admittedly some awful songs too that drag on way too much, but that's the case for the reunion albums too. They just get a pass from the general crowd because it's Bruce singing them

That's it exactly. Virtual is the weaker of the two, most of what you mention is on that. But some bangers there too, Clansman, Futureal etc

The Blaze albums are way stronger than the last 2 Maiden albums imo.

Peewee Herman is stronger than the last two Maiden albums.

X-Factor is legitimately one of my favourites.

I would say that's a very fair comment!! I'd go further and say they're stronger than the majority of material released since Bruce returned  :o

I think Brave New World is excellent and Dance Of Death has some great songs but after that I didn't rate anything bar a few songs on AMOLAD and Final Frontier. The ones that came after them are terrible.

I think Bruce Dickinson's solo stuff from Accident Of Birth on pisses all over Maidens recent stuff. Chemical Wedding is one of the best Heavy Metal albums from the 1990s imo.
