The riff that comes in around 1.50 in this track is mint -

And this tune as well. Did I mention I love that album

Billy Corgan has hit upon some great riffs

Aside from the intro riff, the groove in the riff at 0.30 always gets my attention.

Can't remember if this has come up yet:

Or this:

Or indeed:

You could stick pages and pages of Trouble riffs in here TBH.

"Geek USA" is probably one of the single greatest riff collections I've heard in my life sequencing wise, each one is even better than the one before it. Incredible riffsmithery.

Not sure if it counts as a riff as I think he played it on a keytar, but sure look it:

Overkill did a mighty version on Horrorscope, so it qualifies here:

"I Awake" has a belter riff too. Simple but hypnotic

Ah, I was talking out me hole (a regular occurrence in fairness) there, 4th of July is a Cornell tune.

Was thinking of Mailman, which is another banger at least.

There's a mighty video of them playing this on The Old Grey Whistle Test.

Jan Akkerman knew how to crank a riff in 1972...

Then of course there's this mad bastard performance of it on The Midnight Special. Edit - is that a sweep pick at 3:20?
