Surprise new NIN released yesterday. Remixes and unreleased things from Tron. It's great. Far better than the regular version

Air - "10,000 Hertz Legend"
An all time top 10/20 whatever album for me anyway.  Immaculate album.  Can't fault it in any way, master song writing and craft.

Aphex Twin - "Druqks"
Nothing to be said really.  Magnificent.  An album I have lived with and loved since it released.  Probably why I find it hard to find anything to describe it with but I would assume everyone here has came across it in one way or another over the years.  Another untouchable album.

Also revisited Mourning  (A) BLKStar's "THe Cycle" yesterday. The rest of their stuff is grand but this album is where it's at for me

Would love to find more current stuff in this vein tbh as I'm clueless about it bar maybe Sault- modern vaguely psychedelic Soul/RnB I guess, strong hip hop and Jaz influences,kinda cinematic.

Funeral by Arcade Fire has jumped up from 'fine' to 'obsessed'. Absolutely loving it. It's weird though in that it sounds like the soundtrack to every program on the BBC from that era. Like the music you'd hear on MOTD or something. But it's such a lush, melodically rich and layered album. Great stuff.

I think "Rebellion, Lies" was used on the BBC somewhere!

Was totally obsessed with this album for a time when it first came out. Still wack it on occasionally. "My family tree's losing all its leaves" from "In The Backseat" is such a devastating lyric too.

Didn't keep up with them after The Suburbs (which was also very good, the title track in particular), might just do that.

Never really found much beyond Funeral of interest, but it's a cool album for sure.

"In the back seat" and "the crown of love" are fantastic songs, can't say the rest of it grabbed me as much.

Been listening to Gil Melle's soundtracks  today for "The Sentinel" and "The Andromeda Strain". Genius.

Finally checked out the By Storm album (the post Injury Reserve project, great modern day trip hop), which reminded me in bits of Cloudddead, so it's been Clouddead's discography on repeat since then.
