It's a dude??

I've only seen the artwork and heard one song but it's all very feminine. Is it a dude who may have once not exactly been a dude?

I really liked this when I heard it but never went back to it for some reason. Must give it another spin.

Actually just realized this is new stuff. Thought you were posting the previous album.

The music is class, in fairness.

Yeah, looking forward to hearing the full new album. Digging Lennon's vocal take on this one; I always enjoyed the Beatles meets Primus vibe of their collaboration, but his voice is less Beatles-y here and, on first impression, better for it imo

Diamond Jubilee is excellent, and also very long.

I think what was extra cool about it was it was released/hosted on a personal site, a Paypal link to pay for the files and that was it. No traditional distribution or any of that and it just got mega popular on its own merit.

A Winged Victory For The Sullen – A Winged Victory For The Sullen
Sunn O))) – Eternity's Pillars B/W Raise The Chalice & Reverential
Juan Atkins & Moritz von Oswald Present Borderland – Transport

AWVFTS is in my Top 50 albums.
Great stuff.

Sunn O))) is nice n' sinister.

First time listening to Juan Atkins & Moritz von Oswald.
A Tresor release - Techno with some dub.
I was in the club in Berlin in 1999.
It was something else in the vault downstairs. Banging industrial-techno, with a constant strobe  :abbath:

Have that on now. Right up my street, thanks.

I have it on here now. Really oddball stuff. It sounds like 60s love songs that are melting into an unsettling dream. If not quite a nightmare... but maybe the lyric sheet would clarify that.

Yeah he performs in drag, Cindy Lee is a stage persona. Very David Lynch feel to the whole project, really immerse stuff. Love the fact that it can go from weird dreamy 60s pop to full on industrial noise on a whim

I'll have to listen to the other album. I'm not sure if I exactly love it, but I'm interested by it. It's fascinating.

There's quite a back catalog..maybe give "Malenkost" a go next, bit "what's tonight" is my favourite

The brother , who put me on to CL initially  , mentioned an Irish artist called Nashpaints the other day as being in a similar vein(he actually said "rip off",ha) Haven't checked it out yet
