Wild first half of the match. Optimistic for that dram.

Yip, I'll not lie I'll have it anyway.

Had a ticket to see him last year but couldn't go in the end. The previous one was great.

Jesus that solo is absolutely soaring

Whole thing is class. Nearly as good as the rugby

My first foray into the early stuff and it's unrecognisable as the same band - which, I suppose, it isn't as there was a different line-up - with a completely different sound. All psychedelic garage rock and post-punk. It's only OK TBH, I shall press on.

Turns out the early stuff is total shit. Ignore everything until Belinda Butcher joined, so from the Strawberry Wine and Ecstasy EPs.

That's epic. I've never heard country music made like that before. Big hefty dose of Pink Floyd in the guitars. Proggy, shoegazey madness with the gritty heart of country at its core. The mix works really well.

Ya, can't fault it. The cover of Whiter Shade of Pale is sweet. Billy Strings goes full on jam band live as well although it's more of a trad bluegrass set up.

Didn't mean to post the Sturgill gig at any particular time point. That's just where I jumped last time I watched it.

Hah, it was perfect, straight on that solo!

Watched the whole thing great stuff, what  a tight band!

Watched it again this afternoon as well. It's flawless from start to finish. When I saw him a few years back it was his rock album Sound & Fury in full, whuch is shite enough, followed by a set of the country stuff, which was much better. Sickened to miss last year's gig as it would've been more like the video above.

Threw on Billy Strings after.

Just watched this now. Have to agree it's an odd mix that somehow really works. Like Lynyrd Floyd.
