Yeah, it definitely sounds more like a Joy Division album than a New Order one. Inevitably, I suppose. You can see the development though, especially in the singles. The 2 versions of Ceremony were released 9 months apart but the later release sounds much more like New Order than the earlier one.

It is class. I picked up the bluray a few weeks ago, had largely ignored 80's Crimson but I am hooked on it now. My Italian wife insisted we go to Pompeii some day so, let's just say two birds have been killed with one stone
