Just watched the new Jeff Buckley doc so it'll be a run through the back catalog for the rest of the day. starting with "Sketches"

Hendrix - All the live albums
His live versions of Killing Floor are savage.

Brian Eno and David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
Been pretty transfixed by this one lately, absolutely amazing album. It's a great companion piece to Remain in Light, and almost as good. Imagine how hipster you would have felt listening to this in 1981

I always feel I should like this album more than I do. Love  a  fair chunk of their individual stuff but this never really clicked with me. Must try again.

This has also somehow put the need to listen to the Andy Summers & Robert Fripp album in my head though.

It was one of those ones for me that took a few goes.  Liked it the first time I heard it but never really felt inclined to go back to it, had it on in the background in an old job (unloading containers lol an awful soundtrack for it) a load of times afterwards because it was a common liked record for the warehouse staff, forgot about it for about a year then when I came back to it again I loved it.

That's pretty similar for me too actually. I checked it out after hearing tracks on the Wall Street soundtrack and liking them, heard the full album and liked it but didn't go back to it, and now a year or two later I'm absolutely loving it. Maybe it's just the kind of album that needs to percolate for a bit!

The only problem with the album Magnolia Electric Co. by Songs: Ohia is that it starts with the most perfect song ever and there's no topping that

Great band. Molina was some lad.

There really isnt.

What makes it even more special is the fact that apprently that was one take.

Ah yeah love it gonna throw it on!

Have tried a good few times over the years but yer man's vocals are too annoying.

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk

Tried this last year or earlier this year and it didn't do a whole lot but went back to it this morning after checking out her new song and I'm liking it.

Gwenifer Raymond- Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark
I can't believe this is just one woman and one guitar

Preoccupations- Ill at Ease
Easily their best, another one that'll be in the top ten list at years end for me

Gonna finally give the new Billy Woods a go now this morning
