Plus,  he recorded with Shudder to Think. Craig Wedren being the only peer of his I can think of who came close vocally

First track on this release, which I highly recommend.

Lads I'm in the local park here and there's a crowd of people doing some outdoor yoga shit so of course I have Whitehouse on to fuck em up good and proper lol

Maybe might spare them a little and throw some Alec Empire on next

No no,stick to Whitehouse.
Nothing says inner peace like "Lighnting struck my cock" at ridiculous volume.
Namaste.

This video itself wasn't my first exposure, but I remember sitting around with one of the girls circa 2000, she was big into him, she said I'd enjoy. Pressed play, Mojo Pin went by grand enough, then this. The way he holds that note towards the of the song left my jaw on the floor.

Off to town the following day to buy my own copy.

Yeah absolutely incredible. One of those guys like Chris Cornell that just had a supernaturally gifted voice and charisma.

Quote from: Mooncat on August 15, 2025, 07:06:47 PMVery underrated as a guitar player too. One of the better ones of the 90s, though never talked about in those terms. Likely obscured slightly because he had such a Gagarin voice.

Erasure get a fair auld shake from myself on the regular too.

The video to "Sometimes" is burned into my brain from when I was a kid too.

I've never listened to an Erasure album. Must rectify that, and I'm assuming this is a good place to start

Aye, I never went past it though. Tried the second singles comp. and it was fairly crap. I remember one of the lads had one of their albums in school and that was played a bit but didn't really make an impression.

Sinèad O'Connor - The Lion And The Cobra.

Always a great choice

Gillian Welch & David Rawlings - Woodland

Cracking americana/bluegrass type stuff, also realised how bad I am at keeping up to date on non-metal gigs, turns out they're doing two dates in Vicar St in October, sold out but must keep an eye out for resales.

Count Basie. Not any specific album, just collections so far. I didn't think I was into big band swing but I guess i was wrong.
