Absolutely flawless run of records.

I would say that Check Your Head is the weakest of those albums, not bad by any means it seems to lose momentum towards side 2 (which has a few filler tracks). Saw them when they came to Dublin in 95, at the RDS of all places, long set stuffed with all the classics.
Ah Check Your Head is the pick of the bunch, the bridge between the other two where they really explored their abilities, it's an amazing album. I saw them when they played the Tivoli in 94, a few months before they came back and played the RDS, the difference being before and after MTV picking up the Sabotage video and making them very, very wealthy

Getting It Back? Pretty cool doc, found it fairly inspiring to be honest!

They've been one of my favourites for a long time, amazing rhythm work

I've always wondered about Loop, never got around to giving them a proper listen so stuck on Heaven's End earlier. No, that's not for me at all.

Whatever was their last album was great but I can't remember the name of it. Never heard any of their old stuff but that last one was well decent

Edit: Sonancy it was called

Big fan of Loop the last one is Sonancy which is a great album. I'd reach for Fade Out and Guilded Eternity more often.

I'll give it a spin at some stage maybe. The one I played earlier (their debut album) was a real space/garage rock affair, and I generally can't stand that kind of thing. I was expecting something with a bit more oomph, given the Godflesh connections.

Seconded - A Guilded Eternity is a better place to start than Heaven's End.

Yeah, very little in common with Godflesh bar repetition and volume, they're definitely more coming at it from a Stooges/Psych or even Krautrock angle.

they were great in Whelans there a few years back as well.

Horslips- At the BBC, great sounding release

Deadly.

Sounds like the song that would be playing in a dark 90s thriller when the protagonist cop is following up a lead to some underground club with dank brickwork and neon and lots of alternative types grinding on the dancefloor.

A lot of it sounds like the soundtrack to Challengers. In a good way.

Boys Noize is on the album with the other two, or so I've read
