Speaking of the horsemen of the podcasting apocalypse, the worst of the lot just got worse.

EXTREMELY PODCAST

Completely unfamiliar with whatever this podcast is but now I have to give it a listen

Don't do it! Epic levels of cringe.

Oh I have to now so. Going straight in to the deep end and starring with the Tom G interview, so this should be a fucking riot. His voice sounds AI generated

Tom Warrior is a guest. Fuck it. Gonna have to give it a go. I'm getting cans!

Maybe I just lucked out but it's not too bad. Tom comes across surprisingly genial for once.

Yer man doesn't  seem too unearable. He does mention he's a personal trainer and interviews underground musicians and "entrpreneurs" when not interrupting things to big up his own
band though so that tells me enough to know I needed investigate further 🤣

He has some guests that are interesting and because he is a touring musician they tend to be a bit more open as he is a peer.
Still though, his voice....

His voice didn't bother me at all when I listened to him but the incessant interjections (sorry, I've been leafing through the thesaurus this morning) to tell us about his own experiences and his own band- a bit of an Agitators Anonymous issue there- gets on my tits. Just fucking have the good grace to let your interviewee answer in their own time and in their own words. Please. Thank you.

He brought Beyond Man and a few other bands over to England for mini tours so he is mates with Bjorn from OTOH and that which I am guessing is his connection for getting so many of the people on that he has because the podcast doesn't seem to get too many views.

His band played at cosmic void the year I was there but I wasn't bothered checking them. He kind of reminds me of that Mork guy another band that nobody really cares about but he has all the right connections so his band gets good slots at shows and he can get really good podcast guests that lots of others can't.

The Tom G I would guess he just hit him up himself and Tom agreed to do it as I have seen him on loads of podcasts and he genuinely comes across as a nice bloke even though over the years you would always hear the opposite about him.

Think losing Ain & Giger within a few years of each other, Tom realized that there's no point in being a grumpy fucker.

Anyone going to wear this shirt to the gig in October

Seems on brand for Jamiroquai? ("Emergency on Planet Earth" is one of the best albums of the 1990s... that bass playing).

She's just a cosmic person, from absolute elsewhere.

It really isn't. Everyone in that photo, apart from that hobbit cunt looks mortified.

Seconded. There's plenty of daft opinions getting bandied about on this forum, each to his own and all that, but you'd have to draw the line at describing anything Jamiroquai released as the "best of".
Christ, the utter state of them cunts in that photo.

For the love of Manowar:someone sanitize the feckin hall!

Why "draw the line" anywhere with subjective tastes? Sure, they look like cunts, but no more than some "dark soul" panda makeup-wearing black metal dipshit. And I'm sure if you rocked up to an acid jazz gig in your battle vest you'd be told that actually, yes, you do look like a stupid cunt too.

Stuart Zender also makes a mockery of most metal bassists, and Nick Van Gelder makes a lot of metal drummers sound like the donkeys they are too. And that's pretty much an objective truth to anyone who's ever entertained either of those instruments.
