Just like the start of Creeping Death and Metal Storm /Face the Slayer being very similar?

Definitely similar, but not exactly alike.

the chorus to Creeping Death however.... a hold over from Kirk's Exodus days

A familiar part of For whom the bell tolls can be heard here in this clip of Cliff Burton and Jim Martin of FMN's school band

*Edit

Sorry I just repeated what the last post said.

Do we have a "lifted riffs" thread on here or was that the old forum?

The first line of Sanctuary's "Ascension to Destiny" makes me automatically think of the middle eight of Metallica's "Escape".

old forum but would be worth getting it going again

Derrick Green co-hosts a TV show about plant-based eating called 'Highway to Health'.

Derrick Green

https://youtu.be/zPey1z0pvGA       Richard Christy (death/iced earth)   was a regular on Howard Stearns show doing prank calls.  Is absolutely hilarious with a few smokes

I'm just reading Halford's book at the moment and I hadn't heard the Top Gun story before. They wanted Reckless from Turbo as the soundtrack for Top Gun but would mean they would have to leave it off the album so they declined and went to Danger Zone instead!

Think he Co hosted that with yer wan from Athlone that plays bass for White snake/Bruce Dickinson
Also was one of the early investors in Liquid Death (that cringey Spring water in pint cans) so he has a couple of quid outside of Sepultura.

Tanya O'Callaghan is yer wan from Athlone he did that Highway to Health thing with. They did a few episodes on YouTube.

My fave metal fact is that the snare drum on Pyromania was also used on Master of Puppets
