That Mars song might just be the worst thing he has ever done. It's at least Risk and Supercollider level.

This is an interesting read, finally abit of honesty. The pair of tits deserve each other.

Yeah I found it tremendously dull. Nothing there at all to capture the imagination.

It's frustrating as Verbeuren and Loureiro are some of the best players to ever play in the band, but it's all bogged down by MegaDave forgetting how to write memorable songs.

And that cover of Police Truck, fucking hell

QuoteThis is better than the last couple Megadeth albums I've listened to

Hardly saying anything at all. I'll always be curious enough to listen to whatever Metallica, Megadeth put out but realised long ago that it's not worth shelling out $40 for a vinyl version of something that'll be listened to once or twice only to collect dust on a shelf forever more.

Gave it a spin on spotify and it's a chore to get through. The title track is the most effective but given that it's the opener it's literally all downhill from there. There's a track near the end that's obviously modelled on Black Friday which woke me up somewhat and then we're done.

Dave is completely spent too

So is it only me then who thinks it's their best since 'Countdown..' ???

That's painful. I checked in other videos and he always seems to look down at what he is playing as if he is worried he'd make a mistake.
I'd have to assume that someone of his calibre wouldn't fluff the riffs. The vocals are just bad and I don't like saying it as who am into criticise him but it's so so weak.

Wow, he certainly doesn't look or sound healthy, especially if you compare his performance with the current high energy form Metallica are on. He looks at least ten years older than he is. Hopefully he can get himself back in order whatever is going wrong but looking at his face the first thing that I thought of was dementia. I wonder if his mind is beginning to go.

I highly doubt that he is back on the gear. He sounded alright at Hellfest this year, which was surprising because his voice hasn't been great live for a long time now, and he is 61 and had throat cancer.

But yes that clip is a bit grim.

Checked out the Hellfest footage briefly and you're right - he looks healthy and well and the performance isn't too shabby.

That TV appearance is something else though. You couldn't fork out money if that's the level of performance you'd receive. It's as bad, if not worse than the footage of Jon Bon Jovi's vocal performances on their most recent tour. Just goes to show, they'll take the money and people will give it.

In my opinion their last great album was Youthanasia. One or two albums since then have been decent, but not classics by any means. I have not heard their new album yet, going off the reviews i've read about it, i'm not missing out.

Considering he is an ex Junkie/alcoholic and had Cancer I'd say he's doing well. It has most likely caught up with him. All the years of abuse like.
