Sounds pretty damn cool!

Sounds class. Poison Palinopsia was great but I thought Zoetrope was absolutely genius, so excited that this seems to be ploughing further down that path.

Steve has hit a new level here altogether. His ambition is ridiculous and the execution is perfect; the strings add so much drama and depth to it. This is how orchestral metal should sound, every element integrated and working together to form some vast, nightmarish whole.

If Cioran is as much of a thematic inspiration as that teaser vid would suggest, I don't think there'll be too much hope to worry about

Looking forward to this, and cool to see Melissa involved. Can't really tell that much from that tiny clip though. Down with teasers!

He has continued to outdo himself with each release in terms of scope and realisation. Mad scientist.

A new song from their forthcoming album. This is such a step up again, I think. Steve has consistently pushed away from the cavernous death metal pack with each release, and this is so much more than that. The integration of strings and operatic vocals are inspired. A dreadful sound, dark and sinister, the classical elements adding only more layers of twisted darkness. I can't wait to get the LP and listen to it through real speakers. Monumental stuff.

Just listened to it in work, amazing piece. Just completely absorbs you, looking forward to getting the physical release.

The vocals at the end are like a Greek tragedy or something. So fucking dark and fitting.

I have it playing again, it's got me very excited 😆. Seriously though, hats off, it's just so all-encompassing.

There was such a glut of new, seemingly exciting bands in the early 2010s, who I was mad into for a release or two, who are still ploughing that same furrow, and I have zero heed in now. What an achievement in evolution Qrixkuor is. That is a savage track.

Yeah that's exceptional, looking forward to the album.

The orchestral stuff has the same dreadful feeling ad the old Christopher Young scores for the first 2 Hellraiser films. Perhaps someone might hire oul Steve to score a horror film

Going by the positivity in this thread it looks like I might have to give Qrixkuor another go. I have the demo and Three Devils Dance ep and that was enough for me. I'd had enough of that style of DM so promptly forgot about the band but interesting to hear they have since evolved.

Still rooted in that but the orchestration gives it a whole other level

Well that has me intrigued!

You're definitely on to something there. That was savage. Might have to pre-order it.
