Finally after 5 years reunited with part of my collection. Smuggled about 80 records, 35kg+ in two small 7kg allowance hand luggage bags Dublin > San Francisco > Auckland. Thankfully no hassle as I was nervous I was going to be weighed at one of the check ins. Feel like a kid Christmas going through the stuff I forgotten I had, here's a selection of some of the stuff that made the cut. Demilich somehow made it in there too even with me roasting it controversial opinions thread 😆

Nothing crazy, about another 80lps, and other 12"/10"/7"s/Tapes that I had to be ruthless with, didn't really want to bring anything I wasn't already familiar with either, there's was plenty of stuff there I'd probably barely played. One of the things I'm raging I didn't make room for is the order from chaos box set but it's a bit of a beast at 12 records.

The robin is back, after a 3 week absence. This makes me very happy indeed, I'd written it/them (I'm not convinced that there's a pair in it) off after the last storm but it showed up today, chirping loudly to anmounce its presence. I'm assuming it was off mating somewhere, the mild weather would suggest it.

Good to hear! I have a pair here in our front garden in full flow every morning, tis great to see and hear on the way to work.

It's amazing how emotionally invested in something that has nothing to do with you you'd become, an actual wild animal. It cheered me up no end to see it back yesterday. Back again today, great to see.

We have three or four (they are slightly enigmatic and difficult to spot) black cockatoo currently nesting in a stand of trees behind our house. The white ones are great craic but you see them everywhere and always in large numbers but the black ones tend to hang out in pairs so they must have a couple of young with them. A real treat seeing them about.
