If you enjoy that Slift album I'd recommend giving this a go:

Similar but not identical.  I would be a big fan of Ummon too (so seriously class) and this Weedpecker album hits a very similar spot, lovely psych rock.

Nice one man, gonna check out right now.

Øksehovud - Makt, høyhet, herredømme

I'm after recommending this to the world and his wife in the last hour or so. Totally class. Hearing the similarity to Slift, but wasn't expecting what I hear as masses of Yes and Beatles influence in the melodies, harmonies and vocals. Deadly!  :D :abbath:

Deadly, glad you enjoyed it!  The Slift comparison is in the common influences maybe - it's very psychedelic more than anything else.  But  anyway it's excellent, gets better on every spin too.

Well, I'm sure to find out: just stuck in an order for the LP, what with it being Bandcamp Friday and all.

Like the sound of that, might be a good replacement for that Elder itch since they seemingly stopped writing riffs.

Have to say though...the band name really holds them back, I'd imagine it would be very easy for them to get lost in a sea of Sleep/EW clones.
