Cradle of filth- Dusk and her Embrace. The only cradle album I enjoy these days.

It's the business.  I see there's a version with a heavier mix doing the rounds but I haven't heard it. I must check it out.

You can't really go wrong with any of their releases up to and including 1998's "The Rivalry." To these ears this was their peak and a bit like the late Brian Clough it shows the importance of quitting while you're ahead. The less said about some of their millennial releases the better.

Running Wild: Black Hand Inn. Power metal jizz

Also the title track from their 'Masquerade' album, really great.

Must give it a go.

Only know a few of their albums. Absolute class band. I'll check out more though.

Did you get Dusk and her Embrace: The Original Sin? It's really great although not as good as the version that was originally released. It was recorded with the Principal of Evil lineup.

I listened to it yeah it's nowhere near the level of the original release. The vocals are savage though.

It's in some ways the better version, but it doesn't have the coldness of the version they released in 96

Part of the appeal of Dusk is the production. The tone of the bass guitar is wonderful, would be anathema to dick with it.

The Angel and the Dark River came in the post this morning. Of course I know it like the back of my hand, but I haven't had a CD of it for a long time, so happy days

That's where it started for me. Could never get into anything earlier.

Today, a hape of Swallow the Sun.

I'm getting rid of my music collection- if you want it. Something like 50c a cd if you wanna help me out, or free if you're not arsed.

Throw up a list lad and I'm sure there's enough here to take most of it off your hands

I gave all of my Rock & Metal CDs to my nephew back in 2012. I miss them a terra but I shudder to think about how I'd be feeling if I had sold them off, especially for phuck all. Just saying....

I'm kind of happy enough just to listen on youtube for the most part. It's funny, a lot of things have changed in the last 6 months and having too much physical music just seems like a burden. I'd rather just experience music via casual browsing from now on.

hopefully my good friend astfgyl will enjoy the collection. A lot of the music we all listen to won't be accepted at charity shops anyway  ;D

I'm sorry I lost so many of mine over the years. Sure there was a lot of shite, but I lost a lot of decent stuff too. But if you are determined, throw up a list.
