From The Land of rape and honey right through to Filt pig is top notch.

I liked Dark side of the spoon, and another couple after that. The In case you didnt feel like showing up live album is great too.

TLORAH, Filth Pig, Animositisomina are top 3 for me.  All other stuff around those eras and with Paul Barker is great, nothing after that holds up at all.  I wouldn't be bothered with their new stuff whatsoever.  But old Ministry is fuckin top notch.  Some fall from grace for the lads

Just the lad, Paul Barker got out in the nick of time

What happened between them, I assume he got fed up of Jourgenson's junkie bullshit?

I think that was the long and the short of it, Barker just couldn't stand Jourgensen anymore.

Actually just did a quick check there and apparently the two have kissed and made up, and Jourgensen seems to be alluding to Barker appearing on the next Ministry album. That would be interesting, to see if he could bring back a bit of something actually good to the music

Entombed - To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth. I liked this a lot when it came out but I must say that I like it even more nowadays.

The Unthanks- 'Last'. Beautiful album.

Now that could be interesting alright, though given their output over the past few albums, they'd have a lot of ground to make up. Losing Scaccia didn't help matters either.

Good but overlong. I saw them on that tour and they were pretty decent too.

Thin Lizzy - Renegade (1981) LP

Played it last night and again tonight. Highly enjoyable record and one I never really paid much attention to before.

Actually now you mention it I didn't think much of Sin Quirin or Tommy Victor on guitar duties, and I actually like the cut of Tommy Victor's jib on the old Prong Stuff

Great album.

that's my 5th year special album, listened the fuck out of it 97/98

same them in the tbmc on that tour, fuck me Im old

I have the rerelease too, both versions are great

Anything if interest with the reissue?

Neurosis supported them that night, and were outstanding. Breach were the opening act I think, didn't make much of an impression.

That was a Hell of a gig.  Breach were class and the album they were touring- Venom- was the business.  A fair oul influence on The State Pathologist... actually.  Well worth a listen.

Neurosis were unreal. It was just something so new and dark to me at the time.

I was never much into Entombed but I enjoyed them live on the few occasions I saw them.

I was quite impressed with breach at the time, and the whole weird combo of neurosis and entombed worked really well.  Im sure one of the older guys on the scene at that time recorded the show, but I never got the chance to get the tape off him to rip/remaster the footage.

as regards the reissues, they're all worth it for the expanded notes, the different feel the production has etc

mostly reissues disappoint me, but the entombed ones are excellent
