pretty much just back and forth since friday for me between Rhododendron "Ascent Effort" and that Fake Dust album. Both will be in my top 10 fo the end of the year.

Tetragrammacide - Cyber-Tantric Paradigm of Radical Sri-Vidya
Abruptum - Obscuritatem Advoco Amplectère Me
Inferno Requiem -幽冥夜怪話 Gloomy Night Stories

Vaurien  — Merveilleux Décombres

Einherjer - Odin Owns Ye All
Transilvania - Magia Posthuma
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
At The Gates - The Ghost of a Future Dead

Tuff Luck – Tuff Luck

Handy glam rock; heavy metal in parts

Bidirna Dhamani - Ojash

Entombed - Morning Star 8/10
A quarter of a century old yet I still consider it latter day Entombed, jeez.

God Dethroned - The World Ablaze 7.5/10
10th one from the ever reliable, never venture far from their comfort zone, Dutchmen. And that's the way I like 'em.

At War - Retaliatory Strike 7/10
Second and best from these brutal thrash commandos , American  military choppers bearing down on an Iranian compound on the cover. Nearly forty years ago. Hmm..

Disembodiment - Spiral Crypts 7/1O
One of the more eye catching(!) DM covers in recent memory and if the swampy, muck soaked fodder within isn't quite as noteworthy it's certainly a promising and unwholesome debut from the Canadians.

Yoth Iria - Blazing Inferno 7/10
Quite liked this rather easy to listen to Hellenic black(ish) Metal in the vein of mid period Rotting Christ but I might swerve the new one, sounds way more mainstream and festival friendly to these ears.

Sepultura - Roots 0/10
Why listen to an album I have zero appreciation for? A fella at work handed me this out of the blue having waited six months for it to arrive from Brazil where his missus knows Andreas' family, who signed it. And included a plectrum. Fuck!  So yeah, the least I could do was take it home an spin it. Once.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, Euphoria Morning (for the day that's in it).

Zeicrydeus - La grande hérésie

Urfeind - Dauþalaikaz

Cruel Force - Haneda (while it isn't as good as previous, I still like it, some great riffs and solos scattered through it)
Leatherhead - Violent Horror Stories
Triumpher - Piercing the Heart of the World
Slayer - South of Heaven

Eternal Champion - Ravening Iron

I bought the EP or CD maxi single of the same name at the time.  Yes, 0/10 is all it deserves, the reviews on Metalarchives are gas, from 0% up to 90%+. The writing was on the wall where they were heading after Arise
