My Heart, An Inverted Flame - Whispers in a Dead Language

Don't really know much about this band, give it a spin as it popped up via Crucial Blast today, and so far so good.

Very dark, slow and eerie proggy instrumental music that seems to be just synths and drums. Not metal but definitely heavy, and if you enjoy things like Neurosis, Unholy, Mutterlein, Winter etc it shares the feel and mood of that kinda stuff (doesn't sound like them though) this is well worth your time. Really cool.

Intense stuff.  Noise Rock anyway but punishing and wild, one hour long song with a world of different shit going on in it.  Sort of chaotic mix of late era Swans, Daughters, bits of Shellac, Fantomas' "Delirium Cordia" specifically, and a lad just solidly giving out to you over the whole thing.  It's great

Three Irish shows in August just got announced. Lethal.

I am days behind on here again lol, yeah this is lethal I can't wait.  Must stick the album back on again this weekend I had to give it a break there from how much I listened to it after I found it.  Totally class.

Tons of stuff lately but yesterday's run:

Cult of Luna - "The Long Road North"
I liked this when it came out but it never stuck.  Revisited the past week and it clicked, completely class, had it on every day.  Absolutely what you expect from them with a few twists here and there but just a great listen.

Laibach - "Opus Dei"
Revisiting this after not having it on for years.  Was nearly made sick by the new album so put this on last night to cleanse the palate.  Class album.  Does one thing start to finish but does it well.

Human Future - "Spectrum"
Had an EP by these lads a good few years back and enjoyed it but never looked further.  This came up suggested on Bandcamp and I stuck it on on a whim.  Great stuff.  Sort of post-hardcore, hints of other stuff, fairly reserved but well written interesting.  Got tons of listens off me anyway, just got the "time to open the wallet" warning off one Bandcamp login

More in the non-metal I suppose.  The Laibach should probably be in there too.  Fuck it
