Definitely check out the Paradox album as it's very much a natural successor to The Key

Cool that younger people are discovering THE KEY, however those weird buzzing sound effects in tracks like 'Lake of Fire' throw me off a little even still.  The followup (´Thresholds´ ) wasn't bad either but I would like to buy copies with og artwork including og colours etc.

Why can't anyone do reissues with the right color hues like the og copies? Anyway, a topic for pet peeves maybe.

Was a latecomer to The Key. But it's class. Fair play to Trey Azagthoth for riding Mike Browning's girlfriend and kicking him out on Morbid Angel 😂

Quote from: Trev on January 27, 2026, 06:43:53 PMThe Key is phenomenal. Seems a bit of a forgotten classic in some ways though, you never hear it mentioned with other forward thinking albums like Testimony of the Ancients, Unquestionable Presence, or Human that all came out around the same time

To be precise, it came out the year before all of those. Absolutely killer album  :abbath:  :abbath:

Another fan of The Key here. It might get a blast today!
