Windhand - Eternal Return

I like their particular schtick of yer one's melodies over thick and slow riffing. It's nothing revolutionary but it's nicely put together. I'm a bit weary of shouting or gruff vocals over the slow stuff at the moment.

Currently listening to the Windhand and Satan's Satyrs Split. As you say, they are nothing new but it's good stuff.

Seem to always find myself listening to more Emperor at this time of year.

Also The Spirit-sounds from the Vortex,some bang of Dissection off it!,brilliant stuff!

went on a small spending spree with 20 Buck Spin's bandcamp page a couple of weeks ago, got Ulthar - Kosmovore and Tomb Mold - Manor of Infinite Forms on vinyl. both fantastic albums, the latter well discussed over the past year or so but the Ulthar release was new to me; very much a black metal-influenced death metal sound, with some memorable heavy crushing riffs and sections of bm speed and intensity.

I'm the same with Mayhem at this time of year.  More inclined towards Iron Maiden in the summer months.

Weird stuff. Not sure how to describe it. Starts off acoustic then gets a little proggy/psychedelic, then evolves into a huge droney/doom kind of thing
