The new Bloodbath took a while to grow on me, there are a few good standout tracks on there alright.

Acherontas - Theosis

I need to get back to the Bloodbath. It was grand, but not as immediate as the last one.

Gave Nailbomb a listen for the first time in years.
Got about halfway through before switching it off, has not aged well.

The New In The Woods... Cease The Day. Not sure about it yet.

I loved it at the time but I agree,  it has aged badly.

Listening to SYL - "City" on the way to work.  Couldn't say a bad thing about that album, easily one of my all time favourites, and suits a barely lit commute fairly well.  Haven't had the whole thing on in a while, there isn't a single dull moment on the whole thing, it's just vicious start to finish.

I remember thinking that Nailbomb record was edgy as fuck upon its release but exact same reaction to it recently, don't think I got to side two.

Loved Nailbomb back in the day,an album id never really listen to today.SYL City still stands up to this very day, beast of an album!.

Cave In - Until Your Heart Stops, From their more hardcore era. A lot of yelping. Good yelping though.

Windhand - Eternal Return

I like their particular schtick of yer one's melodies over thick and slow riffing. It's nothing revolutionary but it's nicely put together. I'm a bit weary of shouting or gruff vocals over the slow stuff at the moment.

Yeah, I thought they were the coolest thing ever when I was a nipper. Couldn't suffer them at all now.

Had Neurosis - A Sun That Never Sets on earlier, hadn't heard it in ages. Still as good as ever.

Falkenbach -  Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri

Pallbearer - Foundations of Burden

I always associate this album with Yob's Clearing the Path..., they were released within week or two of each other so I was spinning them both constantly. Two modern day classics, that was a good time to be a doom fan.

Mourning Beloveth - Formless

Had to have another listen to this after the thread about it on here the last day. Such a fucking good album.
