Decided to give the new Opeth a go on a whim this morning (I've not liked anything they've done a whole lot before) and am surprised to find myself quite enjoying it.

Also gave  Teitanblood's "Death" a wee spin for the first time for ages. Wow. I really thought I liked that band a lot more than I actually do.

Queensryche - Empire
No idea why

My arms, your hearse for me on this dark, rainy morning. Was fanatical about Opeth, up to and including Ghost Reveries. Absolutely lost interest in them afterwards until I picked up Sorceress after CT gave it a decent review on the old site. It was surprisingly good, must check out this new stuff.

I really like old Genesis and this reminds me a lot of a metalised version of that in bits.

No great urge to revisit their previous work however.

Voivod - The Wake

They should be well into writing a follow-up, I reckon. This is still a great listen.

FERETRO
Very cool old school death metal from Chile,
Influenced by old early 90's death metal from Europe & Usa
(Morgoth, early Death, early Massacre, a bit of Obituary etc)

Krieg - The Black House

One of my USBM faves. Always sounds better when I'm a bit low.

Is that the one with the hilarious cover of "Venus in Furs" on it?

Zemial 'In Monumentum'
Asphodelus 'Stygian Dreams'

Born From Pain - In Love With The End. I love the Dutch accent on this!
Down- The first of the eps. No matter how much I try to enjoy it I can't.
Obliteration - Nekropsalms. I love the bass on this one.

Yeah, it is. I tend to skip that track.

Genesis, Selling England by the pound.

Thanks Pentagrimes

Such a good idea!

Thanks Pentagrimes and Don Gately

You're welcome chaps.

Aerosmith - Permanent Vacation

I've never been much of an Aerosmith fan but the three albums with the Little Mountain sound are doing it for me right now.
