Ferrero worked primarily in comics if I recall. Those 2 album covers are easily among my all time favourites (dont think it's any secret the albums are too).Pretty sure those are all be did.

Had I an unlimited budget I'd hire him for artwork immediately

I wonder what he charges.

Watching footage of Pagan Altar from 1984. Mega!*

Alice in Chains - Dirt
Alice in Chains - Black Gives Way To Blue

Two bangers. Dirt is perfect. Black... is also a very fine album, but it's mystifying that everything since is so bleeding dull.

Agreed, I can't get into the last 2 at all but BGWTB is fantadtic. Duvall is a good fit.

Mercyful Fate: The Beginning (roadrunner vinyl)

Dug this out today from the collection and saw that some of it was recorded by Tony Wilson at the BBC, specifically the first three songs on the B side (see '24 Hour Party People' starring Steve Coogan as Tony Wilson. great movie)

Pantera- Power Metal. This is my first time ever listening to this album. It's fucking savage. Pure Judas Priest! Is it possible to obtain?

I've been keeping my eye on discogs/ebay for a while hoping a decent priced copy might crop up, but never seen it for less than $75 so far

Would love if they gave the 80s albums a good reissue, although I'm not sure who would even hold the rights, Jerry Abbott maybe?

Chat Pile - This Dungeon Earth. Sounds a lot like the album but a bit dirtier. Not bad at all.

Sodom- Persecution Mania. This is such a killer.
Mayhem - De Mysteriis
Gjendød- Angrep

The main guy is Dave Sardy who went on to be a big name producer/mixer for people like NIN, Slayer, Manson, Chilis etc

Missed this at the time but remembered the shout. Have Gimmick on here now it's really good. Decent shout there reminding me of a few things and a bit FNM in places. Will likely throw on another after this, is there any album in particular I should go to?

Gimmick or Ron L

Currently listening to Valais s/t which completely missed me when it was releaed last year. Slidhr related???
