Spiral Architect - A Sceptic's Universe

It's not Control & Resistance but it's the closest thing to it.

Certainly their best by a long way. So perfectly, heavily produced too. Those last few bars of Spill The Blood are such a perfect way to end an album.

Perfect album.

It is perfect..its been in my top 5 since it came out!!

I'd never have guessed! I finally got the proper version on CD a year or so ago, gets regular spins around here.

Quote from: astfgyl on July 26, 2022, 10:43:13 PMTried that wasp album once and forgot all about it. Wasn't bad either iirc.

That and the debut are their best for me, with The Last Command just behind. Couldn't get into any of their other stuff.

Negative Plane - The Pact...
CROWN - The End of All Things
Nick Cave and the Badseeds - Live from KCRW

Midnight Odyssey - Echoes of a celestial Ruin

Seems to be some sort of homage to the Burzum prison albums. Some nice moments i suppose but all the elements that make  them a cool band are absent, so, not for me, Jeff.

Melvins - Ozma

Such a class band.

Quote from: astfgyl on July 27, 2022, 12:21:01 AMGot through 4 Voivod albums. Wrote the name on that and the next one had

Ministry - Psalm 69
Dillinger Escape Plan + Mike Patton - Irony is a Dead Scene

Fantastic the both of them.

Edit: Dare I suggest that the DEP/Patton stuff is some of the best from either of them. 3 brilliant tracks altogether.

Quoting you back into the right thread just to say Miss Machine is the best DEP album.

Nomeansno - "Wrong".  Nobody ever told me how good this is, Jesus, I have it on for my third spin since last night already

What am album and amazing live.

Saw DEP on the Miss Machine tour. Briefly. Got Panasonic Youth out of it at least.

Also Nomeansno - Wrong. Felt so right.

Had a listen to the original Rust in Peace and SFSGSW having only ever owned the remasters. I now understand why everyone hates those versions, and now I'll have to go buy all those albums again and fuck the remaster copies straight in the bin

Costly but very laudable move Sir  :abbath:
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley

Malevolent Creation "The Will to Kill" rocking the gaff working from home today.

What a beast of an album, it's been far too long since I listened to it last. Hard to believe it's 20 years old already. As alluded to in the upcoming releases thread, Kyle's vocal delivery still stand out for me year later.

I discovered the 2019 remaster of this last night so that vinyl will have to be ordered soon  :-*

Monarque -  Fier hérétique
            Ad Nauseam

Modern Rites - Monuments
