Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back to Life

Their best (with Barnes, anyway) for me. Just turned 31 on Monday.

Vardok Nalt - Minner dekket av tåke
Varaha         -  A Passage for Lost Years

Sepultura- morbid visions

I've listened to about 10 hours of Rammstein today and yesterday, first time ever doing a full run through of their back catalogue, first time doing that twice too! Couple of things that have struck me; one of these is that in places the vocals on earlier stuff are almost Inquisition style, and the other things is that the whistling on this track from Sehnsucht must surely have inspired Bölzer:

Watching Down live from 3 days ago and it's a ferocious performance. Phil sounds fucking great. He hasn't sounded this good in years.

All tunes from the first two albums as well, is it? Never followed them beyond that.

Newer stuff as well. The audio's out of sync, I couldn't watch that.

Death - Scream Bloody Gore

Pantera- vulgar display

Valdaudr - Drapsdalen

Yeah the audio and video on the Down gig are out of sync but I still watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. NOLA is a classic in my book and Bustle has its moments. I think the performance was really strong overall and was surprised at how well Phil sounded. Doing the En Minor stuff has obviously worked in his favour. He seems more focused on delivering clear and in tune vocals than lepping about. And he has a great presence on stage anyway so he doesn't need to do any more than just belt it out. It would have been nice to hear Stain Glass Cross but otherwise it was a great set.

Disembowelment- 'Transcendence into the Peripheral'.

"I.N.R.I." - Sarcofago - nah
"Thought and Existence" - Bong - yup
"Darwin Falls" - Fawn Limbs - yup
"Crippled Lucifer" - Burning Witch - definitely yup
