Enslaved - Eld
                    Frost
                    Mardraum
                    In times

Manowar - Battle Hymns, and then the Battle Hymns remake happened to come on after the original. It's utterly pointless, inferior in pretty much every way, but still incredible how good Eric Adams vocals are so many years after the first one came out

Faith No More - Introduce Yourself

I'm enjoying this so much more recently after reading the book. Flawless.

Spite - Antimoshiach
Really liked this when it came out last year but kinda got buried and forgotten, playing it now and I think it holds up nicely. No escaping the Grand Belials Key influence but thats not necessarily a bad thing in my book.

Winterhawk- Revival

I haven't listened to this in ages.  What a savage album.  I had Ashbury's Endless Skies on before but this is just another level for me within that hard rocking vein.  A few tasty tins of a Saturday night and a bit of Revival.  Can't argue with that.

Vektor - Terminal Redux

Fantastic album. The band blew it though, seemed like they were on the verge of breaking out after this then most of the band left, glad I got to see them in the Voodoo Lounge though.

Disanto is working on new stuff at the moment, given he wrote pretty much all the music I can't see it being to different to the other stuff. Blake Anderson will be pretty difficult to replace though,  great drummer

Nocturnus AD - "Paradox"
Krypts - "Cadaver Circulation"

Both absolute smashers. That Nocturnus AD could have come out in 1992 and knocks the shite out of "The Key" for my money.

Killing Machine - Metalmorphosis, featuring David Ellefson no less.

Algiers - The Underside of Power

Post-punk with Gospel influenced vocals, sounds weird but it's good.

Matador is actually a great label for alternative/post punk stuff, they've got QOTSA, Algiers, Savages  and a few other good bands.

Candlemass - Ashes to Ashes Live

Despite the  incongruous Texan drawl fronting the legendary Swedes, regardless of his dodgy memory for lyrics, there aren't many voices in doom to touch that of the consumate showman Lowe.

Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Type O Negative - World Coming Down

Just one of the very best bands ever, imo.

On an Alice In Chains buzz ahead of Saturday's gig. What a truly immense band.

...New Bethlehem rules! Even at lunchtime with feet up on the kitchen table ( as opposed to dusk in the local derelict mental asylum). Cool to see that big, unassailable, fuck off logo on the cover too.

Nocturnus AD "Paradox"

This definitely has the genes of The Key soundwise. Ripping solos, demented keyboards and lots of roto toms. Already hooked.

Possessed "Revelations of Oblivion"

This is a belter. Quite like Vektor or Kreator at times. Jeff Becerra sounds fantastic.
