Abigor- Verwüstung/ Invoke The Dark Age LP. Another stunning release from DSR, who are one of the most reliable sources of high quality reissues in recent times. I've ignored Abigor over the years for no real reason I can think of. Their later, modern sound isn't really for me, but their early 'true' BM sound is just the stuff.

Russian Circles - "Nine"

Deadly stuff.  I don't often go for RC but when I do it is always great, it is like I forget I like them until an album comes out this is pretty heavy and to the point.  Nothing outrageous or new but a good solid album.

Hum - "Inlet"

Loved this when it came out, listened to it to death, forgot about it for a couple of years, and had it on for a spin last night and this morning.  Just gorgeous, huge, melodic and song driven shoegaze-leaning stuff.  Still love it.  Shapeshifter has a chorus that wouldn't be out of place on October Rust.

First ever vinyl listens to both Painkiller and MoP yesterday. Love how the simple medium switch creates a new listening experience for albums I know inside out    (less in sonic terms, though there's that too, than turning them into two-half affairs)
