I think the vocals rule  myself, ye not hear a bit of Warrel Dane in there? A bit of Brook Wilson? And someone else who I can't quite nail yet, yer man outta Fates Warning maybe. (Damn, I always want to put an apostrophe in Fates Warning)

On a second listen here now, it's just struck me why they might not be clicking: there's a bit of LaBrie in there too 

Edit: There's loads of early Tate in there too. Maybe it's actually what seems like a lack of his own signature style..? Dunno. Still not clicking yet anyway.

Well I don't mind La Brie except when he goes all saccharine on the more ballady DT stuff but I can understand that being a dealbreaker alright. Tate, yeah, maybe that's what I was hearing. Anyway, I love the music, the vocals, the album cover, ..not big on the band name though, sounds like they should be drilling for oil in the Emirates.
