catching up on some recent  cool death metal stuff I'd missed:

Flagelo - Insaciable ep
Voidceremony - Abditum lp

Putridarium - Necrologia Del Sadismo lp (love this.RIFFS!!! Not unlike Degraved in that I've heard this before but the songs are just really fucking good)
Protrusion - demo (If you grew up buying everything that came out on Roadrunner between about 89 and 91 it's impossible not to like this, and I say that as someone who's increaingly fed up with "retro" death metal)

gave the new Coscradh a virtual spin but want to sit down with a physical copy and spend some time with it, and a few tracks off the new Fossilization, who I don't remember being this blast-driven before

Enjoyed the Putridarium ep so will check that out. Have the Protusion demo lined up for a listen as well. Fossilization did fuck all for me.

Yeah, not especially familiar with Fossilization but I seemed to remember them being more Doom/Death than Dead Congregation. The tracks I heard seemed to be about 90 percent blasting which does fuck all for me at this point out side of actual grindcore.

They did a split with Ritual Necromancy that was cool. Never picked it up though.
