I can't wait to get the reissue one of my favourite albums of all time. I have the 3 LP split box but the full length for me is so much better.

Seen a shit load of hardcore bands over the last few weeks so mainly just listening to that stuff at the minute

Gulch - Impenetrable Cerebral Fortress
Gulch - Burning Desire to Draw Last Breath
Sunami / Gulch split
Gag – America's Greatest Hits
Gag – Still Laughing
Drain - California Cursed (always found Drain way overhyped but Sammy is one of the best currently active frontmen in all of metal)

Reissue seems to be a boot.

Blut Aus Nord - Ethereal Horizons 9/10
Dear Vindsval, I get it, you're a fucking genius, you follow your muse, create when you create and release when you release ,to hell with the poor sods who thought they'd just got their end of year lists into some sort of shape, those who'd sorted their Teitanbloods from their Tokyo Blades, you just go right ahead and drop this..this..meisterwerk upon us, yeah,no sweat, we'll deal with it. Grrr..

Gorephilia - Severed Monolith 8/10
From 2017, the Finns second full length ,good album, all churning, heaving Morbid Angel style riffing that's sure to satisfy any DM old schooler.

Goatmoon - Stella Polaris 7/10
I enjoy  Goatmoon and this fifth album a lot, the politics and the opinions of the man are an irrelevancy in my cave. The (cosmic) key here though is to jump up and turn this off before that travesty of a ballad at the end. WASP's Forever Free bastardised into Medieval Black Metal?. Urgh, no thanx Mr.Moon.

Necrokinesis - A Force Made Flesh 7/10
Embarrassing I'd slept on this stuff for so long but now I've picked up this one with the new one, chuffed with the pair of em. The new one has a few more stand out tracks than this one but still the same tightness, the same crispy, crunchy, thrashing goodness that is so damn easy to swallow. Love it.

Graven - The Shadows Eternal Call 7/10
German Black Metal from 2005, cd promo ,no idea where or why I got it but it's hitting a spot here nicely, not overly harsh, a bit of the spirit of old Carpathian Forest mixed in with the more traditional Mayhem and Dissection influences...yeah, glad I dragged this out of hiding.

Sepultura - Machine Messiah 7/10
Long since got over not listening to post Max Seps,  happy enough to have this on in the background , nothing here to offend or get overly excited about...so, solid then.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

The Cure- Disintegration. Savage stuff. Are a couple of the songs on this reworkings of older songs, like Pictures of You, or are these the originals and they have poppified them elsewhere?

Looking forward to giving this a go, love BaN.  The two songs up over the last few weeks were excellent.

Today has been Incendiary - "Change The Way You Think About Pain".  Blunt New York Metalcore.  Churning pit riffs and a lad giving out to you with some gang vocals.  I love it lol

Smote - "Songs from the Free House". Droney psych-y doom, savage stuff, hooked on this lately.  Big builds, varied instrumentation, huge riffs, just lovely.

All (then) new/original songs as far as I know. The deluxe reissue has a disc of demos and rehearsal versions, no sign of older tracks there. Class album though.

Interesting. I don't have the deluxe edition but I definitely know a more pop version of Pictures of You and something else from it... I'll have to snoop through their catalogue and figure it out. Very cool album alright.

There're remixes on Mixed Up and various singles, maybe they're what you've heard?

Prefer the first two myself.

Summoning - Minas Morgul
Nokturnal Mortum - Nechrist
Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King
Kampfar - Mellom Skogkledde Aaser
Virgin Steele - Hymns to Victory

Isthmus and tales are great too. I enjoy parts of Tuonela and Am Universum but gave up on them after that

Grand Magus - Monument

Still their finest hour.

Rainbow - Live In Germany 1976

One of the two or three greatest live albums ever made.
