Immolation - Atonement 9/10
Into the maelstrom with Immo once again, album number ten sounding absolutely colossal as it lays waste to my stereo speakers and threatens to  topple the stacked cassettes nearby. Love the artwork on this one, still need to nail down a shirt of that.

Necrokinesis - Death Is the Hammer 8/10
Been listening to this online over the last few months and finally got my cd this week and  spinning it daily ; this crisp, slick and memorable powerthrash is impressing the fuck out of me in a year when giants like Testament and Sodom failed to make any sort of impression here.

Iron Flame - Kingdom Torn Asunder 7/10
West Virginia's Iron Flame are a straight down the line Heavy Metal outfit, all galloping guitars and soaring choruses, fifth album here from last year picked up on cassette from High Roller. Decent stuff.

Decryptal - Simulacre 7/10
Debut album released earlier this year from the Quebecois Death Metallers, a bit of a hotbed is Quebec and this certainly paints these lads as ones to watch, a satisfyingly dark and oppressive release that sounds dredged from some god forsaken depths.

Fukkin Vengeance - Sewer Surge 7/10
Well...there ARE a lot of bands called Vengeance so we'll give them a pass on the name, and also on the music. If you like it crude'n'rude and in your face from Motorhead and Venom  these Polish hellraisers have you covered.

Galaxy - On The Shore Of Life 7.5/10
From 2021 on Dying Victims, Melbourne's Galaxy are an interesting listen, it's trad Heavy Metal at heart but it's quirky, at times mystical even, the band aren't afraid to veer off the beaten path and best of all the last song here is head and shoulders above everything else. How many bands leave their best til last anymore?
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Sigrblot- Blodsband.
Taranis- Faust. This CD (along with three Death Appeal CDs) arrived today. It looks great. Totally over the top and pretentious, and no doubt influenced by Jilemnicky Occultista in structure, but musically it is more basic and Samael-ish. Hearing some similarities to Sadness in style also. An interesting little piece.

Lord Vicar - Gates of Flesh
Tribulation - Down Below
Amorphis - Elegy
Valhalla - Nightbreed (Greek Power Metal from 2003.  Decent for what it is, but the cover of In the Navy as the final track is an absolute travesty).
Legend - Death in the Nursery

Helloween: Helloween EP & Walls Of Jericho

Elegy is such a good album. My favourite from Amorphis.

Judas Priest: Metal Works '73-'93

King Diamond - Abigail and Abigail II

Beyond Dawn- Revelry for the drive to work this morning. Lovely stuff altogether.

Morbid angel - Gateways to annihilation

I got this in my very early teens, and fucking hated it. I was in the depths of nu metal fandom and about 12-13 years old, didnt have the point of reference to even remotely understand it. Came back to it a few years after and its stuck since, savage album.

Deicide - The Stench Of Redemption
December Wolves - Completely Dehumanised
Primordial - Imrama

Perdition Temple - Malign Apotheosis
7 string savagery!

Prefer the first two myself.

Summoning - Minas Morgul
Nokturnal Mortum - Nechrist
Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King
Kampfar - Mellom Skogkledde Aaser
Virgin Steele - Hymns to Victory
