Waylander - Éiriú's Wheel

Saint Vitus - Born Too Late

Jaysus, the recording of this is fairly raw.

Some cool riffs in it.

Gates of Dawn - III

Basically kinda psych rock with black metal vocals. Contrary to how it's being billed, the vox are the only metal part, though I can hear a bit of Skyclad in the first song. Or maybe The Levellers. Something with a fiddle anyway.

It's good though. Odd.

I listened to some of it last night. Some good stuff in there alright, but yeah, not much BM in the mix beyond the vocals. I tapped out during the poopy doopy plinky plonky solo in Face of Fire (I think that was the title). It was just too silly and upbeat sounding for me. I might revisit it at some stage, though, as it has its merits. I like the artwork as well.

ahh is that the solo with the wah type thing on it?Where he starts basicall playing "walk this way"? That made me laugh.

Last track is great, the closest to metal it gets. Interesting album, but it feels like it has more in common with 70s folk rock or maybe even Black Widow than black metal. It's more like the Greatful Dead or something. Greatful Undead perhaps?

Now playing Floating "Hesitating Lights", which I saw comared to Hybernoid, and I can definitely hear that in there, but more DM influenced. Maybe a bit of "Formulas of Death" in there feel wise.

Must go back to Floating. Enjoyed the first listen.
