It's technical without being widdly, hooky, nice contrast with some of the clean playing in it too. Above all else - top notch tunes.

And those two lads have to be one of the best rhythm sections in metal.

What Ducky said.Them and Mefitis are the best out of the current crop of US death metal bands in my book.

Coil-The Ape of Naples

Angel Damnation - Ethereal Blasphemy
Morbyda - Under The Spell
Tower - Let There Be Dark
Seven Sisters - Shadow of a Fallen Star PT 2
Darkthrone - Hate Them
November's Doom - Major Arcana (someone else mentioned that they didn't get though the first couple of songs... I managed to listen to it all but on first listen it is a fairly poor effort.)
Havukruunu - elle Surut Soi

November's Doom....I turned it off shortly after he started singing
In fairness I never took to them

It's terrible! The lyrics are embarrassing!!!

Yeah, thankfully I didn't have to listen long to realise it wasn't for me. Or anyone over 20 years of age.

Minenwerfer - Nihilistischen
                          Alpenpasse

Some of their 00's output is good but not this new one.

My Dying Bride - A Map of All Our Failures
Cathedral - Hopkins (Witchfinder General)
Judas Iscariot - Heaven in Flames
Death - Leprosy
Megaton Sword - Blood Hails Steel
Megaton Sword - Might & Power
Mercyful Fate - Melissa

Lobbed it on the phone here while reading in bed. I'll stick the LP on in the morning. What an album. My condolences for the loss of your old friend.

Thank you mate,we played music together in our mid teens, his mum bought him a drum kit for Christmas and I had a guitar so we got together in his garage and made an awful racket hahahaha,we thought we were brilliant who'd of thought he would of became one of the best drummers on this wee island,he lived for music and the last time we met up we listened to all the hooded menace albums,he was the knowledge about the music we loved and often talked about some of the first shows we went to,I remember mark going to Florida and going to Morrisound studios and got to sit in Scott Burns chair at the mixing desk,he lived music,he was at Maryland deathfest more than once and travelled all over the world to see the bands we love,Mark will forever be in my heart mate

Sounds like he lived a good life.
