At the Gates- The Red in the Sky is Ours. Enjoying this at the minute. I love the use of violin,  and I'm hearing similarities riff-wise with early MDB at their more thrashy.

Edit. This is savage stuff. I only ever picked up Slaughter of the Soul as a young lad and liked two or three songs, but it didn't really capture my imagination beyond that. I might have to invest in the early records.

Give With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness a go as well so if you havent already.

The Alf Svensson gear is where it's at, very different from Slaughter on.

Conversely I've been spinning the SOS and post SOS stuff, which I famously don't really like, in light of the last few days

Have to say "The Nightmare of Being" is a lot cooler than I remember. The rest are fine, just don't feel like the same band as those magic early records,

Yup, I'll give it a blast. The LP is actually in stock from one of my dealers (yes, dealers). I might nab it...

As I mentioned in the other thread, you'll probably realise where I was err "borrowing" musical ideas from

Coroner: Dissonance Theory

Autopsy - Shitfun
Nuclear Death  - Carrion for Worm

Also went back to The Red In The Sky Is Ours. Bought it years ago but it didn't do a whole lot for me at the time. Can't really see why now. It's great.

With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness is a weird one but I'll give it another go.

Gonna settle in with 'The Flames of the End' dvd always worth a watch!

Mavorim - Silent Leges Inter Arma
                  Axis Mundi

Revisiting Myopia by Mizmor and Thou after aaaaaages since listening last.

So so good

Nine Inch Nails- Pretty Hate Machine.

Cardiacs-LSD

it'll be this all weekend I'd say.

Sinner Rage - Powerstrike (seriously enjoyable release for me. Just good straight forward heavy metal with really catchy choruses).
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul (my least favourite of the pre-break up stuff).
Beherit - Drawing Down The Moon
Angel of Damnation - Ethereal Blasphemy (this could easily be my album of the year; some of the lyrics are awful though...)
Aura Noir - Dreams Like Deserts
Hour of 13 - 333
Sexmag - Sex Metal
