Bal Sagoth - A Black Moon Breeds Over Lemuria
Definitely paid zero attention to this band back in the day, lashed this on as I saw this morning it's being reissued and very much enjoying it. Like Cradle of Filth had they stayed more in the death metal vein guitarwise. Didn't these guys play here years ago?Around the same time as Sigh maybe?

Gonna revisit the early COF stuff this morning after reading that thread. Starting with Total Fucking Darkness which is pretty much all I like by them.

Blood - Depraved Goddess
Napalm Death - Scum
Napalm Death - From Enslavement to Obliteration

Yeah they were ment to play with Sigh, they were actually in Dublin and all.Apparently they weren't happy with something and pulled out.

That gig was actually my first trip up from Cork for an underground gig in Dublin.I was 16, had to jump through hoops with the parents, managed it some how!😅

Gates of Ishtar - The Dawn  of Flames

Disincarnated - Their Debris Mortals (Demo 1993), south American madness

Messa - The Spin
Finally gave this a right listen. Great stuff.

Mortual - Altar of Brutality
Mortual - Evil Incarnation

Warlord - Free Spirit Soar
My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans
Accept - Eat The Heat
Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon

Mortify - Fragments at the Edge of Sorrow

One of the best death metal albums of recent years. They're not reinventing the death metal wheel but there's an authenticity to the approach that raises it above the vast majority of OSDM releases. No surprise that they're from Chile.

I was literally thinking as I started to read that, I bet they're from Chile...madness what's coming out of there these days
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Slayer - Diabolous In Musica.

It's been discussed to death but I just love it except for the rugby song. One of my favourite drum sounds on any album. It's just rotten the way it's mixed

Had Divine Intervention on before that and I also thoroughly enjoy it

helloween - giants & Monsters..a belter

New Deftones. Really good.

Lucifer's Hammer = The Burning Church/Hymns to the Moon

I don't know how I've never actually listened to this band over the years (I think the name always made me think they'd be some shitty war metal band) but fuck me, this is exactly my bag - Divine Eve/Order From Chaos/early Absu heft, death metal masquerading as black metal with a chunk of Frost thrown in. Love it. Have to hunt down the reissues.

Desaster - Kill All Idols
The Riven - Visions of Tomorrow
Venator - Psychodrome
Doomsword - The Eternal Battle
