What could have been in an alternate reality. The 'female' vocals by Fenriz always crack me up

Ahhh I love them precisely because of how ridiculous they are . My favourite death metal record ever.

In Solitude "Sister" - this really is a classic
Dolrian "When all The Laughter has Gone"

Yeah it's a banger, really hitting the spot today

He shoudl've just left it as an instrumental as the music and recording sound is sweet. This and Panzerfaust dont work with overly loud shit vocals imo.

Goatlord - Reflections of the Solstice
Blasphemy - Fallen Angel of Doom....
Beherit - Drawing Down the Moon

Hexvessel - Polar Veil
Ard - Untouched By Fire
Bloodbath - Unblessing The Purity
Black Sabbath - Masters of Reality
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle Earth
Primordial - To the Nameless Dead.
Enslaved - Frost

Type O Negative - Slow Deep and Hard
Fear Factory - Demanufacture (haven't listened to this all the way through in decades -it's amazing how many of the choruses on this album sound like Duran Duran wrote them)
King Crimson  - Red

Gaupa - Fyr
The Abominable Iron Sloth - s/t
Rival Schools - Pedals
Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today
The Fall - Last Night At The Palais

I picked up that Gorilla Biscuits album last year having been a fan of CIV for 30 years but I can't get into it. It's... grand.

Three great choices in a row there.

Oddly had been on the same bands but different albums last weekend, October Rust, SOANM, and Discipline.

I was late to them too but arrived more via Quicksand/Rival Schools. I like it, not the best ever but it's a good listen. I have Set Your Goals but CIV never really did it for me.

Ah I love that Gorilla Biscuits album. One of the first hardcore bands I got into. Always thought they were closer to Dag Nasty than the tough guy NYHC thing they were part of

They have a cool sound but lack memorable songs which is odd considering how insanely catchy Set Your Goals is.

Ah it's definitely nowhere near as catchy as Set your Goals, absolutely agreed. The intersection of hardcore and Adam and the Ants  Saw a second hand copy of SYG in town recently enough and didn't pick it up, kicking myself still.

currently have a rake of Arcturus and Disharmonic Orchestra lined up to get me through work to lunchtime

Absurd - Facta Loquuntur
Grand Belial's Key - Kosherat
Spear of Longinus - The Yoga of National Socialism

I have a bag of old USBs, some ancient ones with 1GB printed on them....good few with music on them.
Found Tyrants Reign album and EP files in 320k, probably from Megaupload, brilliant thrash metal.  I must try and hunt it down on CD

Schizophrenia re recording.

It's great

Swallow the Sun - Ghosts of Loss
Lake of Tears - Forever Autumn.
Saor - Amidst the Ruins
Venator - Psychodrome
Enslaved - Below the Lights
Enslaved - Frost
