Confessor-Condemned
Thy Sinister Bloom - everything

Burnt By The Sun - The Perfect Is the Enemy of the Good
Nasum - Helvete
Beastie Boys - To The 5 Boroughs
The Cure - Concert

Type O Negative  'World Coming Down'

That Title track. :abbath:

Gorement- The Ending Quest. Ah yeah, it's grand. Some nice doomier bits here and there that bring to mind Paradise Lost but overall it kind of goes in one ear and out the other. The drumming gets a bit irritating for me the way he keeps adding in little flourishes on the double kicks the whole time. Just feckin chill out dude!

Yeah funnily enough I only listened to it last week in the gym after a longggg time and got pretty bored of it, I stopped before the last couple of tracks.

On a similar note I listened to another swedish one this week: Afflicted - Prodigal Son, which also full of pretty weird/random parts but got tiresome over nearly 50 minutes

Lord Belial - Unholy Trinity
Mourn the Light - The Magic is Calling
Reflection - The Battles I Have One
Pandemic - Phantoms
High Warden - Astral Iron
Darkthrone - A Blaze in a Northern Sky
Wanton Attack - Wanton Attack (I await the Chinese takeaway jokes).

Mentioned Gorement in the Random thoughts thread, but Prodigal sun is a favourite of mine too. I suspect largely cos  in both cases I grew up with both, and I can see how both are very much of their time.

Going through the Cathedral discography this morning. I pretty much abandoned them between The Carnival Bizarre (and listening to it again it's still an absolute fucking stinker) and Endtyme  - listening through  Supernatural Birth Machine and Caravan Beyond Redemption this morning they're actually sounding really good.

Rome- Berlin.
Current 93- Nature Unveiled.

Sørgelig - Φθορά

Fantastic Greek black metal that sounds like Transilvanian Hunger or early Gorgoroth with clearer production. No points for originality but the songs  are fucking belters.

ZZ Top - Tres Hombre
ZZ Top - Fandango
ZZ Top - Live in Germany (Rockpalast 1980)

Decided to do the entire Gojira back catalogue today, having been listening to From Mars To Sirius on repeat last few days: perfect 'Global Warming' music!

Sodom - M16
Heaven Shall Burn - Deaf To Our Prayers
Malthusian - The 2 eps.

Loving this band for a good while at this stage. So much force in the music, and then those anguished and demented vocals, fantastic stuff altogether  :abbath:

Suffocation - Pinnacle of Bedlam
Witchcraft - Idag (the metal bits are great, the acoustic bits are ok, but I want more fuzzy doomy stuff).
Aganoor - Doomerism
Necromaniac - Sciomancy, Malediction & Rites Abominable
Devil Master - Ecstasies of Never Ending Light
Motorhead - Bomber (the version I have has bonus disc Live at Le Mans, 3rd November 1979 - Lemmy's between songs banter is top quality, the highlight being "I bet it was noisier in 1945".
Slayer - Show No Mercy
