Deconstruction wrecked my head to the point that I have little interest in anything he's done since, it was so all over the place. The 'raw' version of Dark Matters was alright but it's been years since I even bothered with his releases, Ki and Addicted were probably his last decent ones for me.

I'd be interested in the remastered versions of his early solo albums though, the mix/mastering on those was all over the place, very topped out - Infinity in particular. It'd be nice to hear clearer versions.

Metallica - Kill 'Em All, RtL. Very rarely revisit these, but I think RtL holds up a lot better than the debut.

Metal Church - Blessing in Disguise.

Exodus - Fabulous Disaster.

Kreator - Endless Pain.

Deftones - Covers.

Really going down a treat with the sunshine

Mordred-in this life
Beheaded-never to dawn
Cannibal corpse-vile
Strapping young lad-the new black
Murder construct-results

Fear Factory: Soul Of A New Machine

'Suffer Age', overlooked track.

Steelwing: Lord Of The Wasteland (CD)

NWOBHM worship, FFO Iron Maiden.

Bathory - Under the Sign of the Black Mark
Demon Spell - Evil Nights
Old Man's Child - Ill Natured Spiritual Invasion
Sepultura - Arise
Isole - Throne of Void

Still buzzing on it? What was your take on the Ancient Death new one? Too close for comfort?
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Vitriolic - Black Steel Vengeance
Sanhedrin - Heat Lightning
Ered Altor - Halsingemorker (the last track is a blinder but the rest of the album just passes me by).

The Infinity remaster is on Bandcamp so you can get it in WAV or FLAC for a fairly unhindered experience.  I only ever streamed it though and it sounds good that way, must give it the proper spin.

Physicist seems to have a remaster for Vinyl but nothing else.  I know it was pestered with production issues at the time so maybe there isn't anything held over worth remastering for it?

Anyway, in the now playing theme, I had the back half of Ocean Machine on this morning.  This just can't be beat either: https://youtu.be/baaK0vG6fhc?si=2KOQMvmJRVkURrqL

Exploring Devin Townsend after being knocked out by SYL's City recently. Brilliant album. Don't know how this passed me by. I would have been 17 when this was released and would have loved it. I was probably listening to Coal Chamber.

OM and City are class and great counterparts to each other.  If you like those go straight for Terria next, then check out anything else from that era in any order, up to around 2007.  Terria is untouchable.

Listened to Terria recently. Another great album. I bought Ocean Machine since posting about it, and will be buying Terria as well.

Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell. I really can't get on with Dio and his dork-bait lyrics. Which led me back nicely to Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Vol. 4. Cream of the crop right there, and crazy to think they were recorded before most of the overarching genre existed, and scarcely (if at all) bettered.
