Going from strength to strength, album to album Vulture are fucking  pumped on this record and it sounds gloriously old school and neck breaking.

I liked that but hadn't investigated before, any other albums of theirs you would recommend?

Probably the previous one  Dealin'Death is the closest in quality to the new one. Cruel Force are another band in the same vein, also from Germany, if you haven't heard them.

Thanks for the Cruel Force recommendation, liking them also  :abbath:

Speaking of Bolt Thrower, ...For Victory released 30 yrs ago today I think I saw.

24th or 28th, depending on where you go for info. Either way, one of their best.

NP: Carcass: Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious (fixed)

Antaeus - Cut Your Flesh And Worship Satan
Antaeus - De Principii Evangelikum

Running Wild - Ready for Boarding
Kommand - Death Age (old school Bolt Thrower influenced Death Metal)
Tankard - Two-Faced
The Spirit - Of Clarity and Galactic Structures

Still battering away at the '24 releases..

Orange Goblin - Science Not Fiction 6/10
Ten albums in now for the Goblin and this felt a bit like the law of diminishing returns setting in. I like it but I don't love it like I love just about everything else they've put out.

Morta Skuld - Creation Undone 6/10
Another solid heaping of mash and meat American DM from Morta Skuld for when you want no frills and no fucks given.

Wormwitch - S/T 8/10
I've only just got on board with these hellions this year and this is their fourth so I'll have to go back and check out the others because I dig the shit out of this dirty, snarling old school Black Metal.

Massacre - Necrolution 5/10
Goddamnit, I WANT to like this, it's fucking Massacre for chrissake but it's Massacre with Rogga Johannson now as riffmaster general and it just sounds like any of his million other outfits to me...average.

Was never a big fan of Massacre to begin with (From Beyond - their 'peak' - is effectively a Dealz version of Leprosy), but that new one is legitimately one of the sorriest excuses for death metal I've heard in a very long time.

Yeah, bored the tits of me to be honest, a 5/10 was being generous

Chastain - The Voice of the Cult
Satan - Atom by Atom
Forefather / Meads of Asphodel - English Steel
Seven Sisters - The Cauldron and the Cross

Blood Incantation - Absolute Elsewhere (now that the fucker finally arrived this morning!)

Devin Townsend - Powernerd
Scythe - Season of the Tall Pines
Static X - Wisconsin Death Trip

digging in to the discographies of Trollcave and Sanctuarium this morning.
Two bands with crap artwork and names but the music in both cases is considerably stronger than you'd think.

Opeth - Blackwater Park
Blood Incantation - Starspawn
Old Man's Child - Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion
Coffin Storm - Arcana Rising
Bitches Sin - Predator
In Flames - Lunar Strain

Funny, I was only liking at Trollcave today as their LP came in to one of my local dealers. One of the dudes is wearing a Bacterium t-shirt in the band photo. Pretty cool! Still didn't bother my hole listening to them though
