Accuser - Rebirthless 6/10
13th album of modern sounding, in your face, power-thrash, just out.

Dissimulator - Lower Form Resistance 8.5/10
Debut album of the year for me, these Canadians hit me like the proverbial ton of bricks with their hi-tech death thrash evoking the likes of Voivod, Vektor, early Athiest etc.

Nasty Savage -Jeopardy Room 7/10
Cool surprise to get a new one from these old warhorses and even cooler that this material sounds pretty much like the 80's albums. They even got the Tardy bros. collaborating on a track here.

Bruce Dickinson - The Mandrake Project 7.5/10
Good album from Bruce, not his best but still way more enjoyable than anything you know who have put out lately.

Red Rot -  Border Of Mania 6/10
Latest one from the band featuring Davide Tiso of Ephual Duath fame, harsh, bludgeoning experimental  Death , often reminiscent of the likes of Neurosis. 15 tracks was way too much though.

Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

COMECON - Megatrends In Brutality
DISMEMBER - Indecent And Obscene
KREATOR - Endless Pain
KREATOR - Terrible Certainty
KREATOR - Extreme Aggression
KREATOR - Coma Of Souls

The new Gutless landed today, sounds pretty good on first listen!

Alarum - Recontinue (every day this week)
Amazing album. Spoogefest if you're a fan of Atheist, Cynic and Coroner.

Ripping Corpse - Dreaming With The Dead
Sadus - Swallowed in Black.
Revenant - Prophecies of A Dying World.

Right now Deceased - Luck of The Corpse.

I think I need to listen to some Autopsy after this.

I've had the new Gloomy Reflections album on repeat all day today. New album from Will Fried. Sounds like Black Magick SS but even better. Absolute banger of an album

Tribulation - Sub Rosa In Aeternvm
Harvestman - Music for Megaliths
Ritual Steel - Blitz Invasion
Tankard - The Tankard
Running Wild - Ready for Boarding
Forefather - Cursed of the Cwelled

I listened to some of it last night. Not bad at all.

Going from strength to strength, album to album Vulture are fucking  pumped on this record and it sounds gloriously old school and neck breaking.

I liked that but hadn't investigated before, any other albums of theirs you would recommend?

Electric Wizard- Witchcult Today. Long time since I've listened to this. It's fun for around three songs and then it just gets mind numbing. Back on the shelf...

Orgy of HELL - Witching (demo)

Probably the previous one  Dealin'Death is the closest in quality to the new one. Cruel Force are another band in the same vein, also from Germany, if you haven't heard them.

Through the Opeth twice and as expected I won't be shelling out. Had to put on the new Mitochondrion to get my head back in the mire. I'll always check out a new one from Opeth out of curiosity but they've long since transgressed from Progressive to Arty-Farty for me.

I'm quite liking it, I like arty farty though

Children of Bodom - Something Wild
Rotting Christ - Thy Mighty Contract
Bolt Thrower - The IVth Crusade
Place of Skulls - Nailed

Haven't listened to Children of Bodom in years.  Always thought their earlier stuff was great but not sure many others would agree here.  That Place of Skulls has always hit the right notes for ages.
