Back to Inanna. That track Underdimensional is cool alright. Will give it a few more lashes.

Sadistik Exekution - The Magus on repeat the last couple of weeks. Doesn't get old.

That Inanna album doesn't do much for me, a couple of cool bits but nothing overly exciting to my ears. The vocals are too "breathy" for me, if that makes sense  I find them irritating, maybe it's just the mix.

I feel my yearly Blood Revolt - Indoctrine obsession coming up next

Bathory - Under a Sign of the Black Mark
Satan - Songs in Crimson
Bathory - Bathory
Bathory - Twilight of the Gods
Foresaken - Iconoclast
Kreator - Gods of Violence
Barren Earth - The Devils Resolve

Inanna - Converging Ages. Again this morning. It's so good.
It gets a bit chirpy in parts  but still going on to permanent rotation.

Quote from: Maggot Colony on September 24, 2024, 12:08:55 PMInanna are unreal. Void of Unending Depths is one of the best death metal albums of recent years.

Never heard of this band before now. This feels like hearing Morbid Angel for the first time.
It's that level of holy shit

This album and Lost in an Eternal Silence by Blood Oath (another Chilean band) took me back to hearing Death and Atheist many years ago. It's not just a carbon copy of the classic era of death metal though. There's a nostalgic buzz alright, but these bands are adding something unique.

Currently listening to Individual Thought Patterns on cassette. The first death metal tape I ever bought. It still sounds great.

Ya, that Blood Oath album is savage.

Absolutely this

Have the Insurrexion and Invocation lps lined up again for the big shop later

Gjendød- Livskramper. What a bloody savage album.

We are so fucking back.

QUEENSRYCHE - The Warning
YNGWIE MALMSTEEN - Eclipse
YNGWIE MALMSTEEN - Magnum Opus
THOR - Only The Strong
DIO - Magica
DIO - Master Of The Moon

Listening to the newest Century track off the new album. Fuggin class. If the album is as strong as the singles they've released it's going to be AOTY contender for me  :abbath:

Kreator - Coma of Souls
My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans
Kryptos - Decimator
Sulphur & Mercury - Alchemia Prophetica
MegatonSword - Blood Hails Steel
Old Season - Volume One (still love this)
Blood Ceremony - Lord of Misrule
Rotting Christ - Thy Mighty Contract

Depravity - Silence of Centuries
Exactly the kind of death metal I like/would like to be making. Most underrated of the early 90s Finns? Definitely. Probably cos they sound more Swedish. I must pick up the reissue of this to replace my knackered cd

Listening to loads of Smog as well, went to see Bill Callahan the other night and he was great.

They are unstoppable.

Threw that on this morning too, great stuff.

Last night:

The Cure - Disintegration
Dolorian - Dolorian (still can't choose a favourite out of these three killer full lengths)

Now listening to that album of Nirvana covers by Thou that Carnage shared in the other thread. Class!
