Solstice: Solstice  (1992)

Death thrash throwback.

This has piqued my interest (for the wrong reasons).

RAZOR - Malicious Intent (1986)

Moonlight Sorcery - Nightwind - The Conqueror from the Stars
Witchfinder General - Friends of Hell
Ecclesia - Ecclesia Militans
Vircolac - Veneration.

Pathologist - Putrefactive and Cadaverous Odes About Necroticism

Goregrind Wednesday  :abbath:

Ten Ton Slug- Colossal Oppressor.

I never gave these lads time of day before. The name put me off and generally speaking I don't go in for much sludge stuff. I decided to give this a spin out of curiosity after seeing it on Metal Archives. Glad I did. It's really good. There's a lot more going on than I would have expected. Cool artwork too. I might have to grab a vinyl in the coming weeks.  8)

Sodom - Obsessed By Cruelty 8.5/10
I came to this album long after getting into Mayhem. Some revelation when I heard this then.

Sodom - In The Sign Of Evil 8.5/10
It's almost mandatory to have this in tow next

Slidhr - White Hart! 8/10
A rancour fuelled return from Slidhr last year.

Jag Panzer - The Age Of Mastery 8/10
4th album by the U.S. Power Metallers was my jumping on point and still a personal favourite

Gamma Ray - Lust For Live 8/10
Audio version of the 1993 video capturing the band's hometown show in Hamburg

L.A.Guns - Cocked and Loaded 8/10
Some corkers on this such as Magdalene, Shotgun(Riot On Sunset)' Never Enough and of course The Ballad Of Jane. Ah different times.

Vio-lence - Let The World Burn 7.5/10
Still awaiting that full length...

Master - Saints Dispelled 7/10
Just noticed that the cd has two extra tracks compared to the vinyl and the tape. I picked up the tape. Not cool Hammerheart, not cool..

Virgin Steele - s/t 6/10
A mixed bag of a debut, stylistically all over the place, as much bluesy hard rock as it is the progressive, epic Heavy Metal they would later go on to define.

Haunt - Windows Of Your Heart 5/10
A bit bright and breezy for me, not bad just....bang average

GUTTED - Bleed For Us To Live (1994)

Underrated, heavy as balls, but catchier than herpes death metal from Ohio.

Immortal - All shall fall!.
Wolves in the Throne Room, latest one.
